ANTLIA PRO

Pulmonary Function Test Device

Antlia is a Forced Oscillation Technique (FOT) based system for the clinical evaluation of the respiratory system under tidal breathing conditions. Antila is PC operated, non-invasive device for evaluation of pulmonary diseases related to Central and peripheral airway. Antlia is designed to be the perfect aide to Pulmonologists with high accuracy, versatility and efficiency. Antlia is ideal for all patients who must undergo Pulmonary Function Tests, especially the weak, elderly and the young. Antlia based lung test is simple and requires only passive co-operation with no forced expiratory manoeuvres.

Antlia Design Holds 2 PATENTS.

Why Antlia For Pulmonary Function Tests?

Patient Friendly
  • Requires only Tidal Breathing, No forced manoeuvres
  • Test needs less time than conventional methods. More patients can be covered in less time.
  • Designed for easy use by all – especially pediatric, geriatric, post-surgical patients etc.
Advantages Of FOT Based Design
  • Device provides unique information about lung mechanics possible only via FOT
  • FOT technique used by Antlia is effective in detecting Central obstruction, Inhomogeneous peripheral obstruction and Large homogeneous peripheral obstruction
  • Device can detect presence and assess the reversibility of airway obstruction. FOT is the proven best technique to assess small airway obstructions
  • Detect early signs of COPD and consequences of smoking.
  • FOT is the best choice of diagnosis in:
    • BRONCHIOLITIS OBLITERANS SYNDROME (BOS)
    • CHRONIC LUNG DISEASE (CLD)
    • OCCUPATIONAL LUNG DISORDERS
    • INTRAPULMONARY RESTRICTION (useful adjunct to clinical staging)
    • EXTRAPULMONARY RESTRICTION (ankylosing spondylitis and kyphoscoliosis)
    • BRONCHODILATOR RESPONSES
    • BRONCHOCONSTRICTOR RESPONSES
Special Features For Clinical And Research Use
  • Analysis of Breathing patterns at fast sampling frequency
    • Display of Resistance and Reactance with real-time display of tidal breathing
    • Accurate calculations of total parameters
    • Predicted respiratory patterns of different age groups for easy analysis and better understanding
  • Two Measurement Modes
    • Single frequency (Mono) mode options for 5,10,14 and 20 HZ (for children, severe obstructed patients and special research purposes)
    • Multiple sinusoidal (Multi) frequency mode option 5-11-20 Hz
  • Device automatically selects the interval of good breathing for the tests and displays the breathing quality
  • High degree of reproducibility and the incomparably high amount of data which allows for a thorough differentiation of lung function
  • Antlia Complies ERS guidelines for pk-pk mouth pressure.
  • Antlia Design is as per IEC 60601-1, 1-2 and ERS guidelines.
Reports
  • Test results displayed in easy to understand Graphical form
  • Reports designed to help the Doctor to quickly interpret the results.
Remote Access
  • The device is operated using a PC application. Test reports are generated and displayed then and there.
  • The device has Cloud compatibility which helps to access the reports remotely. Attending doctor can remotely consult another doctor if needed.
Easy To Transport
  • Compact light weight design
  • Ideal for use not only in Hospitals and Clinics, but also in Healthcare Camps, Hospitals-On-Wheels, Rural Areas etc.

What Is Forced Oscillation Technique (FOT)?

“Source: World Health Organisation (WHO)”

FOT is clinically proven technology which is an alternative to conventional spirometry. This method characterizes the respiratory impedance and its two components, resistance (Rrs) and reactance (Xrs). The parameters are usually measured at various frequencies (5-20Hz) using small pressure oscillations applied near to airway opening during normal breathing.

What Doctors Are Saying About Antlia
  • Dr. Satya Narayana Mysore
Impulse oscillometry – Antlia (FOT technique) provided by Caltech Innovations Pvt. Ltd. Was trialled at our institute from 05/07/2018 to 18/08/2018. It was mainly used for children and patients who were unco-operative and not able to perform the spirometry. The results of the oscillometer were corresponding to the spirometry reports upto the second decimal point.”

HOD and Pulmonologist MBBS, DNB, FRACP, FCCP, FACP, Manipal Hospital, Bangalore
  • Dr. Nikhil Bhakare
“We at Bhakare Superspeciality Hospital and Research Institute Pvt. Ltd have used Forced Oscillation Technique (FOT) based “Antlia” manufactured by ‘Caltech Innovations Pvt. Ltd’ for checking pulmonary disorders. This device is very useful and it does not require forced breathing by patient as required for spirometer. Very much useful and reliable device.”
